Specialized Courses:
Office Assistant / MOUS Certification
This course includes all three levels of the Microsoft
Office User Specialist (MOUS) certification course. You
will learn MS Windows (user level), Outlook for email,
and the Specialist, Expert and Master levels of the MS
Office software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
Access) for word processing, spreadsheets,
presentations, and database work. Also, there is an
in-class database project assignment.
Accounting / Bookkeeping
-Become a full-charge bookkeeper, by learning either of
the leading computerized accounting software packages,
Peachtree or QuickBooks. Learning accounting terminology
and how to prepare a complete set of books. Work with
accounts payable, accounts receivable, bills and
invoicing. Perform bank reconciliation, prepare
financial statements, payroll, payroll tax returns and
other schedules according to IRS and State requirements.
Computer Technician
This course includes the Core Study Program & Operating
System Program for A+ Certification.
Medical Billing Assistant
This course includes basic computer skills, all of the
software included in the Office Assistance course, plus
an overview of Accounting principles and training in
Medisoft, the most widely used software in the
profession, and in medical terminology and HIPPA
compliance rules.
CCNA
This course prepares students for the Cisco Certified
Network Associate (CCNA) exam. Topics includes Basic
Router Operation, Internetworking & the OSI Model,
Introduction to LAN, Routing, RIP, IGRP, Network
Security, Network Protocols, TCP/IP, IPX, Introduction
to WANs, LAN Switching, WAN Protocols, Frame Relay, HSSI,
ISDN/LAPD, HDLC, PPP, Point-to-Point configuration.
CCNP
This course prepares students to take the four CCNP
Certification Path Exams, Building Scalable Cisco
Networks, Building Cisco Multilayer Weitched Networks,
Building Cisco Remote Access Networks, and Cisco
Internet working Troubleshooting.
Graphic Designer
Prerequisite is Basic Computer Skills. This course
includes CorelDRAW, used for creating illustrations,
Photoshop, used for managing photographs, and Pagemaker,
used for layout.
